DoS Attacks (Part 1): Open DNS Resolvers

This chalk talk video, which is part of a broader series on Denial-of-Service attacks, describes how the presence of open DNS resolvers on the Internet can faciliate the creation of denial of service attacks. This particular attack approach, while known a long time ago, continues to be used for Denial-of-Service attacks. In particular, it was used on the recent attacks targeting Spamhaus.
