Why Threats Get Through (Part 1)

With so many recent reports in the mainstream media about organizations (even sophisticated ones) getting compromised with malware -- including the recent report by Mandiant on APT1 as well as the New York Times breach -- why are existing anti-malware technologies failing to catch these threats? This video, one of a two-part series, explores these questions. In this first video, the question is examined from the vantagepoint of the malware author -- specifically focusing on techniques that malware authors are employing to thwart detection by anti-malware vendors.
